The National Diversion Project envisions a community where everyone has access to the resources and support they need to thrive. We believe that by working together, we can build a brighter future for all.
Our mission is to empower our clients to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives by providing mental health care to children and familes in distress.
Through the use of evidence-based practices, we will assess and address the root causes of “at risk” behavior while prioritizing diversion, reducing recidivism, and building resilient individuals, healthier families, and stronger communities.
Our dedicated team of social workers, counselors, and support staff are passionate about helping others. We are experienced professionals who are committed to making a positive impact in our community.
We offer a wide range of programs to meet the diverse needs of our clients, including individual counseling, group therapy programs, workshops, training, crisis intervention, and community engagement initiatives. Each program is designed to provide the support and resources necessary for our clients to achieve their goals.

The National Diversion Project was originally the Meraki project established in 2014 in Freeport, Bahamas with the objective of youth empowerment. Since inception it has evolved into an organization that strategically advocates for youth mental health and wellness by mitigating against Adverse Childhood Experiences. Our initiatives over the years have helped thousands of individuals and families in our community. From providing mentorship to youth and adolesence to hosting free youth camps and community events as well as providing emergency assistance to families in need. We have worked closely with Juvenile Justice Departments to help prevent recidivism in at-risk youth and continue to raise awareness. We are proud of the impact we have made. But there is still much work to be done, and we are committed to continuing our efforts.
Be part of our mission to create positive change in society. Your generous donation empowers us to serve those in need.
